At Cleveland Clearouts, we often work with families who are clearing out a loved one’s home after a move, transition, or loss. Many times, these homes include medical equipment — items like hospital beds, wheelchairs, gloves and unopened medical supplies that still have plenty of useful life left.
We partner with MedWish to Help Families and Communities
Recently, we helped a local family in Cleveland who wanted to make sure their late parent’s medical items didn’t go to waste. Instead of sending everything to the landfill, our team coordinated a donation with MedWish International, a Cleveland-based nonprofit that collects and redistributes medical supplies to people in need around the world. MedWish accepted these items, ensuring they’ll be reused in clinics and communities where medical supplies are scarce.
For the family, it was a meaningful way to honor their loved one’s memory while helping others. For us, it’s a reminder of why we do what we do — reducing waste, giving back, and finding the right place for every item. At Cleveland Clearouts, we believe that clearing out a home should be about more than just removal — it’s about respect, responsibility, and purpose. We’re proud to work with local organizations like MedWish that make a lasting difference in both our community and beyond.
